Crawler identity
CONVERG3NCE-Auditor
This page is what our crawler's own User-Agent points to. If a request to your site claims to be CONVERG3NCE-Auditor, this is the full, current description of what it is, what it does, and how to control it.
User-Agent
Every request the crawler makes carries this exact header:
CONVERG3NCE-Auditor/1.0 (+https://converg3nce.com/bot)Who operates it
The crawler is operated by Converg3nce (also written Converg3nce AI). To ask about a specific crawl, object to one, or verify a request actually came from us, email converg3nceai@gmail.com.
What it fetches, and why
For a brand being audited, the crawler requests: the homepage, /robots.txt, /llms.txt, and a bounded sample of pages discovered via the site's own sitemap. It parses JSON-LD structured data on those pages — Product, Offer, AggregateRating, and Organization — to measure how legible the brand is to AI shopping agents.
Every crawl runs on behalf of the brand being audited, or as part of a small, named peer cohort used to benchmark that brand against comparable competitors.
Crawl behaviour
- A hard timeout applies to every request.
- An inconclusive result is retried once, and not more.
- During benchmark refreshes across multiple domains, requests to different domains are spaced roughly one second apart.
- The number of pages fetched per site is bounded.
- It does not execute JavaScript, submit forms, log in, or attempt to bypass bot protection.
How to block it
Add this to your robots.txt:
User-agent: CONVERG3NCE-Auditor
Disallow: /This is respected. If you would rather ask a person than edit a config file, email converg3nceai@gmail.com and we will stop crawling your domain.
